Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

1 head of Cabbage
1 lb. hamburger
1 cup Instant Rice
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 t. salt
1/16 t. pepper
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 cup chopped finely, onion
16 oz tomato sauce
2 t. sugar
1 t. lemon juice
1 to 2 cups cheddar cheese

Bring a large pot of water to boiling. Put the cabbage head into the pot. After 8-10 minutes, make cuts around the core so the leaves will come off. You might have to do this several times, depending on how tight the leaves are wrapped. Set the leaves aside.

Mix hamburger, rice, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion. Place spoonful of mixture in each leaf (use the lighter green leafs first) and roll the leaf up. Place stuffed leaves in a greased 9×13 glass pan.

In a small bowl, mix tomato sauce, sugar and lemon juice together. Spoon over stuff leaves. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Cover with foil.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

Makes 8-10 stuffed leaves.
