My Thoughts:
At this point I’m wondering if Melissa Tagg can write anything not worth reading.

So far, the answer is a resounding NO!!. Every word she writes stamps its way on my heart with love. Permanently.

I can’t begin to describe how much I loved reading Like Never Before, the second novel in The Walker Family series. Absolutely charming and witty, with just enough conflict to put your heart in a vice, fretting over the characters as pages quickly flip by. And yes, you will fret, sigh, and cheer as Amelia, Logan, and a cast of amazing family and co-workers alike take the spotlight in this book.

Speaking of which – Amelia. Let’s talk about this slightly klutzy, loves to take charge, staunchly loyal to the local newspaper, Amelia. I LOVE HER!! If she can make appearances in all of The Walker Family series going forward, I will be such a happy reader! I love how this novel starts out with her emailing Logan, trying to convince him to come back to Maple Valley, Iowa and work at News, the local newspaper, after the former owner passes away. Amelia’s love for the small town of Maple Valley is heart-warming and I loved how involved she was with her community. Her not-so secret crush on Logan is adorable and it was delightful how easily she took to his daughter.

For the past few months, Melissa Tagg has gushed about her new male lead, Logan. I can safely say that I wish he were real as well and not fictional! His presence carries through the novel as a strong, almost silent type, but that caring heart of his shows forth time and time again.  His love for his daughter, deceased wife, and family is so moving that I actually felt I knew him.  Melissa, are you sure he’s not a real person? 😉

Like Never Before is totally and completely wonderful and I enjoyed every single page!  I can’t wait for Melissa’s follow-up novel!!
